Add a shortcut to a website you visit often

You keep going to the same site and want it one tap away from your own page.

Before you start

  • You are looking at your own page, signed in

Steps

  1. Scroll to Favorite Websites and tap the + card.

Before you have added any, the card reads Add a shortcut to a site you visit often. Afterwards it is a smaller + Add tile at the end of the row.

  2. Type the address, like example.com.

You do not need https:// or www. The keyboard switches to one with / and . keys while this field is focused.

  3. Leave Name alone unless you want your own label.

It fills in from the address as you type — the dialog says so underneath: the name fills in automatically.

  4. Tap Save.

Save stays greyed out until there is an address.

You will know it worked when

The dialog closes and the shortcut appears as a tile in the row, showing the site's own icon with its name underneath. The heading gains a count, and a smaller + Add tile sits at the end of the row for the next one.
