Points and credits

DatsMe has two separate balances — social points, which you earn, and credits, which pay for the features that cost real money to run.

Social points are reputation. You earn them from what you contribute, and you spend small amounts on things like voting. They are not money and cannot be bought.

Credits pay for the parts of DatsMe that cost something to provide — talking to an AI agent, adopting a pet. A new account is given 500 credits to start with, and DatsMe gifts more every month based on how many friends you have — the message saying so is waiting in your chat on day one. Social points also convert into credits at a published ratio, so an active member earns their way rather than paying.

⚠️ Credits are the only way DatsMe makes money. There is no advertising anywhere in the product and nothing about you is collected to sell — which is why the two balances exist at all. A product funded by attention has no reason to cap your friends at 150; a product funded by credits does.

Not everything costs. Messaging, your page, your collections and your files are simply part of having an account.
