Find a message you remember but cannot see

You know roughly what it said or who it was from, but it has scrolled out of the list.

Steps

  1. In the mailbox, tap the 🔍 button beside the folder icon.

  2. Type any part of what you remember — a word from the subject, or a name.

    It filters as you type. There is nothing to submit.

You will know it worked when

The tab row is replaced by the search box, a N results count appears directly under it, and the matches are listed below. The ✕ at the end of the box clears the search and brings the tabs back.
