DatsMail
DatsMail is your own email address on DatsMe: you can write to anyone, anyone can write to you, and it has its own inbox, drafts, folders and attachments.
Your address is your slug followed by @datsme.me, and it is shown under the Mail heading. It works like any other email address: what you send reaches people on DatsMe and outside addresses alike, and mail from outside — a friend on Gmail, a shop, a newsletter — arrives in your Inbox. Mail between two DatsMe addresses never leaves DatsMe.
How to
- Send a message to someone on DatsMeYou want to write to one person, and it is longer than a chat message.
- Reply to a messageSomeone wrote to you and you want to answer in the same thread.
- Find a message you remember but cannot seeYou know roughly what it said or who it was from, but it has scrolled out of the list.
- Keep a message where you can find it againYou want to come back to something without hunting for it in the Inbox.
- Send one person's mail straight to its own folderSomeone writes to you often — a shop, your bank, one friend — and you want it out of the Inbox without losing it.
- Save a file to a folder by emailYou are on a device that does not have DatsMe on it, or someone else has a file you want. Anything that can send an email can put a file into your folders.
What it can do
- Write, send and receive mail with anyone, on DatsMe or at any outside address
- Sort arriving mail into your own folders with rules — by subject or sender
- Reply to a message without leaving the thread
- Attach a file from your device, an item from your DatsMe library, or a recorded voice note
- Keep a message you want to find again in Saved, and take it back with Undo
- Filter your whole mailbox as you type, with a running count of matches
- Sort mail through All, Inbox, Sent and Unread, plus Saved, Trash, Spam and Drafts
- Ask an app to do something by emailing yourself: put the app's keyword and your six-digit code in the subject, attach a file, and it is saved for you

Who can see it
