Put a photo into one of your interests

You have a collection and want to start filling it.

Before you start

  • An interest you have already created

Steps

  1. Open the interest by tapping its card.

  2. Tap + Add Content.

    ⚠️ The first time, your browser asks for camera permission and that tap does nothing else. Answer it, then tap Add Content again.

  3. In your phone's chooser, pick Files or your photo picker — not Camera — to use a photo you already have.

    This is your phone's own chooser, not DatsMe's, so the wording differs between phones.

  4. Pick the photo.

You will know it worked when

The item appears as a card with its own Public badge, the count changes to 1 item, the collection's cover picture becomes that photo, and a Select All button appears beside Add Content — it is not there while a collection is empty.

If it does not work

A red tile says Failed — tap to retry with Field required, and nothing is added.
This is a known fault on older Android phones — it has been seen on Android 8 with Chrome 101 and not on Android 14 with Chrome 152. Retrying does not help. Add the photo from a newer phone or from a computer.
