See how much space your site takes up

You want to know what is there before backing it up, or you are wondering what is using room.

Before you start

  • You are signed in

Steps

  1. Open Settings from the gear at the top of your page.

    Tap the section name at the top to open the Go to list.

  2. Choose Storage & Backup.

    ⚠️ It is not called "Storage" — the section is Storage & Backup, between Points, Credits & Billing and Devices & File Access.

  3. Read the Your Data panel.

    It gives three numbers: Database — your posts, messages and settings; Media uploads — the files you have added; and the Total.

You will know it worked when

You see your actual usage, for example Database 1.1 MB · Media uploads 2.8 MB · Total 3.9 MB. Nothing is changed by looking.
