Preview your page as other people see it
You changed who can see part of your page and want to check what a stranger and a friend now see.

Steps
On your own page, scroll to a section that has something in it and whose badge says Public.
Pick one that is not empty: a section with nothing in it is never shown to anyone else, so it would be missing from both previews.
Tap that section's badge once. It changes to Friends: only your friends can see the section now.
This is the badge from Choose who can see one section of your page. Each tap moves one step: Public → Friends → Private → Public.
At the very top of your page, above your picture, tap the small chip that reads Owner. It changes to Public, a band underneath says Previewing as the public, and the section you changed is gone — this is your page as a stranger sees it.
Tap the chip again. It changes to Friends, the band says Previewing as a friend, and the section is back — your friends can still see it.
Tap the chip once more. It reads Owner again and the band is gone: you are back to your own view.
Exit ✕ on the band does the same from either preview.
Optional: to make the section public again, tap its badge twice, through Private to Public.
You will know it worked when
In the Public preview the section is missing from your page, and in the Friends preview it is there — what a stranger and a friend each see now. The chip only changes what you are looking at; the badge is what changed who can see the section.
If it does not work
- The section is still there in the Public preview.
- Its badge still says Public, or went round to it again. Tap the badge until it says Friends, then preview again.
- The section is gone in the Friends preview too.
- Either its badge says Private, which means only you — tap it once to come round to Public, and once more for Friends — or the section is empty, and an empty section is never shown to anyone else. Add something to it, or try a section that has something in it.
- The section shows for friends, but something inside it does not.
- Something narrower is winning: a collection or an item can have its own badge, and the narrowest setting decides. See Who can see what.
