Personal folders

Personal folders are your own files on your own site — photos, videos, music, documents — and they are always private, with no setting that can change that.

They sit in their own PERSONAL FOLDERS section near the bottom of your page. You start with My Photos, My Videos, My Music and My Documents, and you can add more. Every folder carries a red 🔒 Private badge, and so does every file inside it — unlike the other sections of your page, this is not a choice you make, it is a property of the section. The heading says it in as many words: Personal Folders are always private — only you can see them.

How to

What it can do

  • Keep your own files on your site, sorted into folders
  • Add files, and add subfolders inside a folder
  • See how many items a folder holds without opening it
  • Select several items at once
  • Reorder your folders by dragging them
  • Use a file from here anywhere the app asks you to choose one — a profile song, an avatar, a collection

Worth knowing

⚠️ On an older Android phone a photo may fail to upload with a message saying it "came through empty" — that is the phone handing the app a file it could not read, not a problem with your file. Picking it from a different app, or using a newer phone or a computer, works.

Who can see it

Always private, and not adjustable. Personal Folders is one of the sections whose badge cannot be cycled — see The sections of your page for the ones that can. Files inside carry the same badge. See Who can see what.
