The sections of your page

Your page is built from stacked sections — My Thoughts, Applications, your connections, Favorite Websites, Interests & Hobbies, Personal Folders — and each one decides separately who can see it.

Every section carries its own badge beside its heading, and that badge is a control, not a label. Some sections are fixed at Private and say so; the rest are yours to set. Sections also collapse, so you can fold away the ones you are not using without deleting anything.

How to

What it can do

  • Set who can see each section of your page, one section at a time
  • Collapse a section you are not using, without removing it
  • See at a glance which sections are public and which are not, from the badges down the page
  • Reorder some sections by dragging them
  • Set every section's visibility in one place, from a list, instead of tapping the badges one at a time

Worth knowing

Whether a section can be set at all is fixed by what it holds: Applications, Friend Connections, Group Connections and Personal Folders are always private and say so where the badge would be. ⭐ There are two ways to set the same thing and they behave differently: the badge on your page changes immediately on one tap, while this panel is a list you edit and then Save. If you are checking rather than changing, prefer the panel — it shows you every answer at once without altering any of them.

Who can see it

This is the visibility surface for your page. Each section's badge is independent of the others and independent of the whole-page setting in Settings — see Who can see what.
